The Career Services Office hosts multiple information sessions every semester, on the Modesto Maidique Campus, Biscayne Bay Campus, and at the Engineering Center. This allows recruiters from a variety of employers to talk about their organization on campus, discuss their hiring needs, and what kinds of positions and employees they will be looking for.
Some information sessions are hosted in a traditional format while other can be more casual. While requirements for attire may not always be shared by the employer, we strongly suggest students and alumni to dress professionally at information sessions to make a strong first impression.
To find out if a company will be hosting an information session, please check Panther JobLink under the “Event” tab.
This is an excellent opportunity for students and alumni to network with a prospective employer, as well as to get an idea of what different companies and organizations are seeking in future employees.
On Campus Interviews
Each semester, we have employers who choose to come to campus to interview FIU students and alumni for full time and internship positions. To sign up for an on campus interview, log into Panther JobLink and click the “Campus Interviews I Qualify For” link under the “Shortcuts” section on the right hand side of the home page.
Interview Cancellation and No Show Policy
Students and alumni must personally contact Career Services at least two (2) business days BEFORE the scheduled interview to cancel their interview. Failure to show up for an interview or failure to comply with the interview cancellation policy will result in immediate loss of interviewing privileges and resume referrals for 1 month. To request re-instatement of privileges, students and alumni must call our front desk at (305) 348-2423 to make an appointment with the Assistant Director for On Campus Recruitment. Second offenders will result in immediate loss of interviewing privileges and resume referrals for the remainder of the semester.
