What is an Internship?

An internship is a form of experiential learning that integrates knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skills development in a professional setting. Internships give students the opportunity to gain valuable applied experience and make connections in professional fields they are considering for career paths; and give employers the opportunity to guide and evaluate talent (National Association of Colleges and Employers – NACE).

Post an Internship

Step 1: Create/Register an Employer Account

  • Visit Panther JOBlink at and click “employer”.
  • Click Create employer account and complete company information, services requested and contact information
  • Click submit

Step 2: Post an Internship

  • Log into Panther JOBlink. Under “shortcuts” click on “Create Job Posting”
  • Don’t forget to include:
    1. Clear job description & student qualifications
    2. Student learning outcomes
    3. Compensation
    4. Approximate hours and duration
  • Click “submit”
