Throughout the internship, the Intern will receive hands-on training opportunities as active participants on various Draper projects. Some of the Intern’s specific responsibilities and training opportunities will include:
■ Studying construction drawings of active and near active projects to become familiar with project requirements and creating an Overall Project Schedule (OPS) Checklist.
■ Assisting in developing, monitoring, and maintaining project schedules for multiple construction projects of various sizes and complexity .
■ Walking local projects with the Draper Consultant responsible for scheduling the project and assisting with updating the construction schedule.
■ Learning to take construction photos that record activity progress from Draper’s perspective.
■ Becoming familiar with essential tools of the trade and assisting with the production of Draper’s schedules.
■ Preparing comprehensive, informative, and professional Progress Reports for stakeholders.
■ Acquiring basic knowledge of Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and ASTA Powerproject to create and update construction project schedules.
