Job Summary:
The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records. This includes recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry: Accurately input financial transactions into accounting software.
- Accounts Receivable: Process customer invoices, track payments, and manage collections.
- Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices, reconcile accounts, and ensure timely payments.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger and ensure its accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Tax Preparation: Provide CPA financial reporting for tax returns.
- Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of bookkeeping experience.
