FIU in Washington, D.C. is the university’s hub that connects students, faculty, and alumni with policy, research, and career opportunities in the nation’s capital. It serves both as an advocacy center for FIU’s research priorities and as a talent-development platform for students interested in impact-driven careers in D.C.

FIU in Washington, D.C. is designed as an experiential learning pipeline through the comprehensive program, Talent Lab, where opportunities such as Fly-In Seminars and Internships are offered to move students from exploration to hands-on professional experience.

The Talent Lab program is centered on principles of interdisciplinary, experiential learning that exposes students to the structure of policymaking infrastructure and the skills needed to succeed in Washington, D.C. Such experiential learning initiatives include Fly-In Seminars, Internships, and Hamilton Scholars.

Three-day experiential seminars focused on exploring how policies are made, and what career opportunities exist in the capital for students.
