Increase your presence on campus

Lead a Workshop: Career and Talent Development serves not only our students, but alumni and faculty. Host an Employer-Led Workshop through our office. These small employer-led workshops are a great way for your company to build a relationship with the best and brightest students—and let students know how they can meet your recruitment expectations.
Host a CTD Pit Event: Interested in hosting a larger, but more personal event with students? Host a Career and Talent Development event at our high traffic area at the GC Pit! The GC Pit is at the heart of the Graham Center where many students stop by hourly. Set up an event to reach a larger demographic of students, while still being able to one on one discuss your company’s opportunities with students.

Partner with Student Organizations: Partner with one of FIU’s many student organizations. Student organizations love hosting employers for their meetings! Employers can host information sessions, employer-led workshops, and serve as a panelist for their networking events. By engaging with student organizations, you have a chance to meet with hundreds of students, while getting the word out about your company.

We will work to accommodate you and make your visit as successful as possible!
Types of schedules available
Open Schedule
- In an open schedule, candidates see your position on Handshake and sign up on a “first come, first serve” basis. Handshake ensures that only those candidates that meet your requirements are able to submit a resume and immediately select an interview time.
Pre-Select Schedule
- With a pre-select schedule, candidates see your position on Handshake and submit their resumes for consideration by a pre-determined deadline. Employers will then be able to review and invite those candidates they would like to learn more about to an interview. With this type of schedule, employers only interview those students that they have determined are the best candidates for their positions.
