Explore Your Interests / Self-Assessment

Explore Your Interests/Self-Assessment

Embarking on your career journey is an exciting adventure, and one of the most valuable tools at your disposal is the power of career assessments. These assessments serve as a compass, guiding you toward a deeper understanding of your strengths, interests, and aspirations.

Why Career Assessments Matter:

  1. Self-Discovery: Assessments offer a structured approach to self-discovery, helping you uncover hidden talents, skills, and interests you may not have fully recognized.
  2. Informed Decision-Making: Gain clarity about potential career paths that align with your personality, values, and goals. Make informed decisions about your academic and professional pursuits.
  3. Maximize Your Potential: Identify areas for growth and development, allowing you to maximize your potential and pursue a career that not only pays the bills but also brings you genuine fulfillment.
  4. Tailored Career Exploration: Narrow down your career options by exploring professions that resonate with your assessment results, saving you time and energy in the exploration process.

Career and Talent Development (CTD) offers the following assessments, for a small administrative fee:

  1. Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
  2. STRONG Interest Inventory

If you are interested in taking one of the assessments, please contact CTD at (305) 348 – 2434 or career@fiu.edu. Once you have completed the registration and taken the assessment, you can meet with an MBTI or STRONG certified Career Coach to review your results.
