Career EXPO is the premier professional development and recruiting event at the Biscayne Bay Campus (BBC). Over 140 recruiters from over 60 employers and 30 industry leaders are regularly in attendance to provide internship and employment opportunities for our students and alumni.

Career Fair is one of the biggest career-related events in the region. Taking place on the Modesto A. Maidique Campus, we regularly introduce over 130 employers to nearly 1,500 of our students and alumni.

Each year FIU Career and Talent Development hosts the Federal Government Statewide Conference. The Conference is designed to bring representatives from various government entities together to discuss aspects of government employment.

The Statewide Job Fair provides students with the opportunity to meet employers from Florida’s twelve state universities. This job fair takes place during the summer, and typically attracts over 150 employers and over 1,500 students and alumni seeking full-time career opportunities.

Internship Fair is a great opportunity for FIU students to meet recruiters who are looking to fill their internship positions. Internship Fair takes place during the fall semester on the Modesto A. Maidique Campus.

 Internship Week is an exciting opportunity for FIU students to gain valuable insights and resources for their internship journey. Taking place each Fall semester at the Modesto A. Maidique Campus, this week features a variety of programs and events designed to help students search for and prepare for internships.

Occurring annually every spring on the Modesto A. Maidique campus, the CARTA Architecture Career Fair offers an exceptional opportunity for students and alumni to connect with leading companies and explore remarkable employment and internship opportunities.

Hosted every spring on the Modesto Maidique campus, the Stempel College of Public Health and Social Science provides students and alumni with the opportunity to connect directly with employers hiring in Social Work, Public Health, Dietetic and Nutrition, and Disaster Management.

Held every spring on the Modesto A. Maidique campus, the Management and Leadership Program Panel and Networking Event offers FIU students the chance to engage and network with recruiters from top companies. This is an exciting opportunity for students to gain insight on management pathways and learn about companies’ prospective management development programs.

Learn to dine like a diplomat! Know the fine points of professional dining etiquette and gain a significant advantage over the competition. Our Professional Dining Etiquette training consists of a lunch or dinner at which participants dine while being instructed on professional dining etiquette.

Resume Fest is an all-day interactive event for students and alumni to interact with employers and have their resumes and cover letters professionally critiqued. Resume Fest takes a few days prior to Career Fair.

Universities from across the country will be hosting group information sessions and one-on-one meetings to provide insights into their graduate programs, helping students find the best fit for their future academic goals. Our Professional Development Workshops are offered throughout the year in-person on the Modesto A. Maidique Campus (MMC), Biscayne Bay Campus (BBC) and Engineering Center (EC) and virtually on Zoom. They are designed to help you move your career forward by offering training in all facets of career and professional development.
